A major movie release in the United States is coming in the coming weeks, with Sony’s Underwater movie being one of the big players.
The release is expected to come on March 15, 2019.
Sony said in a statement that the release is “likely” to be the biggest in history, as the company will hold more than 300 screenings worldwide.
There are more than 1,000 theaters that will host the event.
“We are pleased to announce that we are excited to announce the release of Underwater, a $150 million epic fantasy and science fiction epic,” the statement reads.
“In the next several years, this epic will be the subject of more than 50 feature films and feature television shows.
As one of Hollywood’s most innovative filmmakers, Underwater’s unique storytelling is a perfect fit for a world of unprecedented technological advances and new entertainment.”
The release of the movie, which stars Scarlett Johansson, is the first major film to feature the character of The Kraken, an ancient sea monster.
The Kraken was featured in the 2014 film of the same name, and was featured prominently in the 2012 film The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
“This is the largest cinematic event in the history of the cinema and I’m excited to bring it to life,” Johansson said in the statement.
“I know you will enjoy the movie.”
The film is also the first to feature Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johanson.
Underwater will be directed by Andrew Garfield, the man behind films such as Deadpool and The Amazing Spider-Man.
The film will be released on March 16.
